In case you can't make it meeting, we now have a Google Classroom for our club! An email was sent to each member inviting them to join the Google Classroom.
Mrs. L will post a new discussion question each month. Everyone is invited to comment about the book they are reading and reply to other people's comments.
The club worked on creating characters for our upcoming murder mystery party. The profiles were created with complete personalities and histories! We will finish the character profiles at the next meeting and plan the date!
During a quick book circle, the group discussed Cutter Boy and Zodiac by Romina Russel.
What a productive meeting! We broke into small groups and brainstormed ideas for our Murder Mystery Party! At our next meeting on November 21, we will be creating the characters for the party!
We have decided to set up a place where Book Club members can "chat". Mrs. L will be setting up a Google Classroom. Members can chat on the classroom stream and we will post book recommendations for everyone to see!
Our trip to Otisville Elementary School for the Great Otisville Readaloud will be on Friday, April 27th. We will leave school right before 2nd period and we will return by the end of 5th period. More details to follow, but save the date on your calendar!

There was so much to discuss today!
We started by deciding that we are going to have a Halloween party next Tuesday, October 31st! No costumes, just snacks and a sampling of our horror books!
Everyone should bring something small to share. Halloween candy, cookies, cupcakes, a package of napkins, a package of plates or drinks (sign up on this link)
Our next discussion was about our Agatha Christie Murder Mystery Party! We are still looking for ideas and have to pick a date, so please email Mrs. L with ANY ideas you have!
Finally, we got to try out some of the new STEAM items that will be placed in the High School Library STEAM center for students. From robots to mind-boggling puzzles, we played, explored and discovered.
Wow, great turnout at Book Club today! We had a lot on our agenda...
In celebration of the Agatha Christie's book Murder On the Orient Express being made into a new movie, we are planning a Murder Mystery party! More details to follow...

We ended our meeting by sharing our horror and suspense themed books we are reading this month and checking out books of course!
